Much of our day will be outdoors, so stilettos might not be your best friend.We’d suggest block heels, flats, or any dance-friendly shoes that will keep your feet happy 💃

WEATHER

Cape Town in May can be a little unpredictable, think autumn sunshine with a touch of chill (Cape Town Breeze). We recommend packing a light jacket, shawl, just in case.

Our wedding day will be a celebration of both cultures 💛

We’ll begin with a Hindu ceremony, followed by a short break with mocktails and vegetarian canapés (to honour religious traditions). This will be a moment to mingle and refresh.

Next, we’ll gather for our Christian ceremony, after which cocktails and canapés will be served as we ease into the evening. Once the formalities are complete, we’ll move on to the reception for dinner and one big party, so bring your best moves (and your dance shoes)!

At its heart, the day is about embracing both cultures and having one big celebration with our favourite people.

We kindly ask that both of our ceremonies be unplugged. This means no phones, cameras, or photo-taking during either of the ceremony proceedings.

Please keep your phones on silent and tucked away so everyone can be fully present in the moment with us. We’ll have professional photographers capturing every special detail, and we’ll happily share those photos and videos with you after the wedding.

Between ceremonies, and once they are complete, you’re more than welcome to bring your phones back out to capture and enjoy the rest of the celebration with us. This is one of the most meaningful moments of our lives, and you truly being in the moment with us, would mean the world.
